Warscher wrote –
“A thermopolium follows (on Via Stabiana) with sales-bench, the stairs to the upper rooms, the latrine below, a hearth, and followed by two steps up to a spacious room, used by the clients.
The remains of a terracotta pipe on the wall was always proof that there existed rooms on the upper floor.”
